PPE for Utility

Utility workers require PPE that safeguards against a range of hazards, including electrical faults and falls. The MILWAUKEE® range features protective wear suited to long workdays and a variety of conditions. There's high-visibility clothing such as the Contractor High-Visibility Vest in a choice of yellow or orange. It includes a clear ID badge holder for easy identification on the job site, a mic tab for easy radio access and an internal pocket. The vest meets industry safety standards, being European Certified as Class 2 High Visibility Clothing according to EN ISO 20471: 2013/A1:2016. There are also high-visibility gloves, such as the Hi-Vis Cut Level 3/C Dipped Gloves. These are made from fluorescent material that stands out where light levels are low, and they also boast a reinforced nitrile coating with added protection between the thumb and fingers. These gloves deploy SMARTSWIPE™ technology across the palm and fingertips, allowing for the use of touchscreen devices without the need to remove the gloves. Other types of hand protection include Hybrid Leather Gloves that include a reinforced palm for added protection while handling heavy objects. These are also European Certified for cut resistance protection, per EN ISO 21420 and EN388:2016 (2122X). For head protection, there's the BOLT™ IMPACT ARMOR™ Crown Liner BOLT™200, which is made of a super polymer utilising RHEON™ technology. It slots into the MILWAUKEE® BOLT™200 Helmet and provides advanced slip, trip and fall protection. We also offer the robust BOLT™ 200 OPE Helmet Kit, which includes the BOLT™ 200 OPE Helmet, with an impact-resistant shell made of Lexan™. This is compliant with EN397 & EN12492, including extreme temperature -40°C. In addition to the vented helmet, there's the BOLT™ Mesh Face shield made of steel for extended durability, which has an impact resistance rated F, and the BOLT™ HP Earmuffs. Banded Ear Plugs, meanwhile, provide standalone, flexible hearing protection that can be worn above the head, below the chin and behind the neck. These feature pivoting arms for a secure fit.
